Memory

Bone deep
in comforting loam,
the earth's embrace
gentle against
the waddle and
honk of geese and
the ambling flock.

Rust deep with
melting metal:
machine is life
too, with cycle
of manifestation
and decay.

Tree deep and
rooted to it.
Snug in the
burgeoning
stanchion of
memory.
